DORA is Now Enforceable

As of January 17, 2025, DORA is fully applicable across all EU member states. Financial entities must have frameworks, policies, and reporting structures in place.

Regulatory Scrutiny

European Supervisory Authorities (ESAs) are actively reviewing firms' frameworks and identifying compliance gaps.

Third-Party Oversight

Critical ICT third-party providers have been designated. Your vendor relationships are under scrutiny.

Incident Reporting

Major ICT-related incidents must be reported to competent authorities within strict timelines.

What is DORA?

The Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) is an EU regulation that strengthens the IT security of financial entities. It ensures that banks, insurance companies, investment firms, and other financial entities can withstand, respond to, and recover from ICT disruptions.

Unlike directives, DORA is a Regulation, directly applicable in all EU Member States without requiring national transposition. This creates a unified framework across the entire EU financial sector.

DORA's Five Pillars

ICT Risk Management
ICT Incident Reporting
Digital Operational Resilience Testing
ICT Third-Party Risk Management
Information Sharing Arrangements
